Happy Birthday to Angelee!

Last week was Angelee's 30th birthday!

Liz, Mikila and I decided to throw her an 80's party! We started her night off w/ a massage by Mikila, and pedicure by Liz. We then blind folded her, so we could take her downstairs and out her house w/out her seeing all the decorations we put up, drove her to Forever 21, and had her pick out her 80's attire for the night. We 3 ladies chose her items to try on and she was only allowed 3 vetoes. The funny thing was that she had never been in that store because she thought it was for old ladies!! Ha! It most definitely is not, should not be, for old ladies! : )
After we got her outfit we all went into the Sears bathroom and got dressed up and did our hair and makeup. That was a fun experience! Most people were pretty cool about us taking up all the room and looking pretty interesting. We finally rushed out of there to get home and we suprised her w/ her friends at her house for the party.

I decided to make cupcakes instead of cake and found some ideas online on how to decorate 'em.
I think they turned out totally tubular! : )

We hung neon painted VHS's, tapes, and on the table we put Rainbow Bright, My Little Pony's, UNO cards, slinkys & slap bracelets.

This is the table as you walked in. Liz found this great frame and so we had everyone sign it.

The game for the night was Twister. At first we had all 6 of the guys get up and try to play. That didn't work to well. : )

Since the guys all had to get up they made all the ladies get up to play too.

I love the concentration on Angelee's face. She must have been thinking of a great birthday wish! I also love how Erica's getting ready to blow out the candles w/ her. I wonder if her kids "help" their friends like that too. : )

Part 2 of the evening was surprising Angelee w/ a trip to Cal Skate! What was the coolest was that she had just told Nick the other day that she really wanted to go there! Wait-a-go Liz for being inspired on that call! : )

Liz & Kevin after just skating for 2 hours straight. They're really good on their inline skates. I was pretty impressed.

We sure had a fun time Angelee, thanks for turning 30!
