A Walk With Christ

I'm not one to toot my own horn, but I was able to plan a Relief Society Program for our ward & it turned out SO well! :) It definitely wasn't just because of me. I had help with the planning and there were other sister's involved in some "acting", and of course there was heavenly help that all made it so perfect.

I wanted to share it in case you might ever need an idea for your ward...

The night was called "A Walk With Christ". We used 4 rooms to depict different stages of Christ's life. Room 1 we watched 'The Nativity' video which shows events leading to his birth. Room 2 had 3 sisters who dressed up and acted as women from the Bible & told their story of their meeting with Christ. (Amy Nore, Amy Aylworth & Kathryn Lowry did this & they were amazing!)
In Room 3 we had the Bishop sitting at a small table w/ a touch lamp & his scriptures. He read and commented on the story of the atonement & death of Christ. After his comments he turned the light off and we had sounds of loud thunder and rain. Then to finish we went to Room 4 which was the chapel & we watched a video w/ Elder Wirthlin called "Sunday Will Come" which talks a little about the resurrection and other special things. I linked it so you can watch it. It's very inspirational. After we watched the video we listened to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir singing prelude music and we took a few minutes to reflect & write down our feelings of the evening.

I am so grateful to have found the idea online for this and for all the inspiration & help from others to put this together. My testimony of Jesus Christ has increased. I know that he lived on this earth and healed, blessed, comforted so many. I know that he atoned for every sin I have and will commit, and that he died & was resurrected, all so that I can be forgiven & have the chance to live with Him & Heavenly Father again. He is all powerful, and can bring anything to pass if we just have faith in him. I learned a lot about FAITH during this. It is an important thing to never forget.

Thanks for reading my brag session & testimony :)
