Rob & I took an early anniversary trip this last weekend to Reno. We'll be celebrating our 10yr on March 16th, but since we'll have a newborn at that time, we decided we better go & do something while we have the chance!
We got to see Nick & Nicki, which is always fun, and believe it or not lots of shopping. I couldn't believe how long Rob lasted. He is NOT a shopper and can only stand waiting anywhere for me for about 5 minutes. We both found some great deals on shoes at sierra trading post, and he took me to the coolest store called Scheels. It's over 295,000 square feet and has its own ferris wheel inside. It only costs $1 per person to ride it, so I braved the heights and did it.
Nick & Nikki took us to this really good Chinese restaurant called Palais de Jade. It's similar to PF Changs, only smaller. The food was sooo good and the service was fast! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

Here we are after we ate. The guys decided to do silly faces....
The next morning we went to breakfast at good ol' IHOP. : ) It was close to the hotel and I enjoyed what we got. I'm a sucker for pancakes.
The hotel we stayed in (the Peppermill) was really nice. The best part was this tub!! I think I used it twice a day. It is 2 times as big as ours at home. I really miss it. It was soo relaxing.
We had a wonderful trip. I'm glad I let Rob talk me into staying that 2nd night. I was missing the kids a bunch, but he assured me they were in good hands and that we wouldn't get this opportunity again. He was right. Imagine that. : )
I love my wonderful husband. He's been good to me these past 9.75 yrs.

Has it really been 10 years? A trip sans kids is a must, esp when #3 is on the way. Are you ready?!?
STP, pancakes, and a bath?? A husband that handles shopping? Perfect weekend, girl! :) I ordered online from Sierra trading post for years, until they stopped carrying my favorite birkenstocks. Boo. Glad you had a good weekend.
