3 Month Old Owen

Today Owen is 3 months old. Wow! Where did the time go? Oh, that's right, all those sleepless nights, the nearly 650 diapers we've changed, the countless feedings, it goes on and on. Somehow, every moment of every day Owen managed to keep us busy.

Wouldn't trade a single moment for anything in the whole world.

Above is a picture of Owen the day we left the hospital for home. We dressed him in his soccer onsie. It was rather big on him, but we wanted him to start getting used to soccer right away. :)

Below is Owen today, 3 months later. He fills his soccer outfit out now. He also kicks like crazy, all the time.

In fact, it's hard to hold him in my lap anymore by laying him on my legs with his feet at my belly cause he kicks himself right up to my knees. If I let him he'd kick himself right up past my knees and on to the floor (which he has come very close to doing many times).

He is still full of smiles too. Owen is so quick to give the cutest smiles that immediately melt away any baggage I might have on my mind after a long day at work.

One way I know I can always count on a smile out of him is when I stick my tongue out at him. For some reason, ever since he discovered his long tongue and how far he can stick it out, he has loved to mimic me when I stick mine out at him. I stick my tongue out at him, then he follows suit by sticking his out at me, then he smiles and adds a little giggle too. It's the best.

Here's a short clip of Owen flying high.

He's so strong. Whenever I put him up in the air like this he keeps his neck up very well so he can look around, often tucks his arms back so as to be aerodynamic, and his legs are stiff, not limp or hanging down.

Man, it's so much fun to see how Owen is growing. What a little ham. I can't wait to get the boys back together again.

So cute! I've only seen him through pictures, but I can tell he's growing up fast.
